Is something missing, or is it just me?

Have you been aching for a friend? Someone that spoke truth, loved big, tackled life questions, and valued the little details? I have been too.

When I got married and started my family, I naturally thought friendships and community would happen. With watching my babies grow, juggling school & all the activities, and doing life with my husband, some days there seemed to be — just me. Caught in a sort of busyness that drains your soul and leaves you with all the questions that keep you up late at night. Stuck with no female friend to give me real, gritty, I’m-in-this-for-life with you feeling. Honestly, I felt a gap. Maybe you’ve felt it too.

Someone who didn’t look too perfect but wanted to create something special in their home

At that point, I felt called to start building something fresh. I stared down my social feed and podcast library. I found myself searching for:

A few truth-filled words and encouragement for the hard days.

A space that offered community, support, and — well —an imperfect but perfect-for-me friend

It didn’t take more than a few minutes to realize that this might not exist for me or for other women — so I’m diving in to share a little on where God is leading me, things I’m trying, things that have failed miserably…aka the downright nitty gritty of life, and hope that it encourages and inspires you in your own daily dwell!
